Ocean circulation model forecast of the Solomon Sea developed by PCCOS.

Simulations performed using CROCO with an horizontal resolution of 1/36°.

The model is forced at the boundaries by the Mercator global ocean model at 1 /12° resolution (https://doi.org/10.48670/moi-00016). Atmospheric forcing (wind, heat fluxes, etc.) is provided by the GFS forecast system. No tidal forcing is considered in this configuration.

This product has not been validated against in situ data. PCCOS/SPC does not warrant or suggest that this data is fit for any particular purpose.
